“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, we, as New Testament Christians, are a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come. Our old life with its sinful habits is gone. Now we live a new life serving Christ and others.

And, according to Philippians 1:6, God will complete good works in us. Meaning we won't be perfectly holy until we're in heaven.

But we should still strive to live godly, holy lives every day. And we don't have to do this by our own efforts. God will help us to live godly, holy lives if we ask Him. He empowers us to live a righteous life. God will always work on our behalf, empowering us to live for Him and do His good will. Lean on Him every day in total surrender.

If you have not obeyed the Gospel, then you are not a new creation. Obey today, and become a new creation. For steps to obeying the Gospel, read the posts titled Gospel Wednesday.
