Gospel Wednesday

Image
This is the first Gospel Wednesday. Every Wednesday I'll be posting passages from the Bible relating to Jesus. And imploring you, dear readers, on Christ's behalf to be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20) through obedience to the Gospel.  We'll be going through the book of John. One chapter every Wednesday starting with the first chapter.  So to present the first Gospel Wednesday.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the

Homosexuality; Supreme Court Ruling

In light of the Supreme Court's ruling I got to take a stand and abide by the word of God. The Supreme Court ruled gay marriage legal in all 50 states. America has strayed far from God and Biblical principles. America has turned its back on God. It's time to turn back and repent.  No matter what the Supreme Court's ruling, God's Word still stands. Homosexuality is still a sin, no matter the laws of the land.  So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:21-24 ESV) God made marriage to be between a man and a woman. Not man an

Love God

Image
For God loved me so much He gave His only Son, Jesus, that if I believe, I would have eternal life. John 3:16. How can I not love Him in return? After all He shed His blood for me. By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. (1 John 3:16 ESV)

Sacred Truth Friday

My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word! My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word! Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise; (Psalm 119:25, 28, 41 ESV) Read this during my morning Bible study. Psalm 119:25-48. These verses really stood out to me. God sustains me. Gives me life according to His Word. When I'm in sorrow or worry His Word strengthens me and comforts me. His steadfast love and salvation continually flows to my heart.  I can't live without my beloved God. He died for me and I'll cling to Him until my last breath. Can't imagine my life without Him. Love this song by Jaci Velasquez Imagine Me Without You. Expresses how I feel about God perfectly, the One who died for me.  Jaci Velasquez - Imagine Me Without You Lyrics | MetroLyrics As long as stars shine down from Heaven And the rivers run into the sea Till the end of time, forever You're the only love I'll n

Gospel Truth

What Must I Do To Be Saved? This is the true gospel as revealed in the holy scriptures, which answers the question: What Must I Do To Be Saved? 1. Hear We must hear of this wonderful news of the Gospel.  So faith comes through hearing and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 ESV 2. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 3. Repent of your past sins The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30 ESV  4. Confess Jesus as the Son  of God and Lord and Savior Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
