Sacred Truth Friday: Great in God's Eyes

Image
Great In God's Eyes Mark 9:33-37 New King James Version (NKJV) Who Is the Greatest? 33 Then He came to Capernaum. And when He was in the house He asked them, “What was it you [a]disputed among yourselves on the road?” 34 But they kept silent, for on the road they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest. 35 And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” 36 Then He took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when He had taken him in His arms, He said to them, 37 “Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.” Footnotes: Mark 9:33 discussed New King James Version (NKJV) Scripture taken from the New King James Version®. Gospel Wednesday: The Way of the Christian Life

Image
2 Timothy 2 New King James Version (NKJV) Be Strong in Grace 2 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure[a] hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7 Consider what I say, and [b]may the Lord give you understanding in all things. 8 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the [c]ele

What Does The Scripture Say: The Rapture

Image
The Rapture The rapture not mentioned in the Bible. Even Hal Lindsay in his book admitted the rapture is not in the Bible. Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, - 1 Timothy 4:1 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Timothy4:1&version=NKJV This is a doctrine of demons. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” - Matthew 15:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew15:9&version=NKJV It's a doctrine of men. Christians will be taken secretly by Jesus to heaven. Then begins the 7 year tribulation. This whole doctrine is false. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. - 2 John 1:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2John1:9&version=NKJV This doctrine goes beyond the doctrine of C

Sacred Truth Friday: Fruit of the Spirit

Image
Fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 New King James Version (NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [a]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. As New Testament Christians, the fruit of the Spirit should be evident in all of our lives. Galatians 5:19-21 New King James Version (NKJV) 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]adultery, [b]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. We must put away these works of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 New King James Version (NKJV) Walking in the Spirit 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh

Gospel Wednesday: Don't Be Ashamed

Timothy’s Faith and Heritage 3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5 when I call to remembrance the [b]genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Not Ashamed of the Gospel 8 Therefore

What Does The Scripture Say: Baptist church Part 2

What Does The Scripture Say though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, - Hebrews 5:8-9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews5:8-9&version=NKJV We are in part 2 of examining the Baptist church. Doctrines of the Baptist church 1. A church can leave out certain requirements of the Gospel and still be pleasing to God. and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, - 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Thessalonians1:7-9&version=NKJV The Gospel must obeyed. Sacred Truth Friday: Trust God

Sacred Truth Friday Another good lesson from Stephen. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. - John 14:1-3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John14:1-3&version=NKJV Don't let our hearts be troubled. Gospel Wednesday: Don't Trust in Uncertain Riches

Image
1 Timothy Chapter 6 Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed. And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.And having food and clothing, with these we s

When: 1607-1609. This is when the Baptist church started. Far removed from the Lord's church. The Lord's church started in the 1st century during the Roman Empire (Acts 2) as predicted by Daniel (Daniel 2:44-45). The Baptist movement started in London, England, whereas the Lord's church started in Jerusalem. Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jaco

Sacred Truth Friday: Faithfulness to God

Sacred Truth Friday Another good lesson from Stephen Wiggins. Faithfulness to God His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ - Matthew 25:21 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew25:21&version=NKJV Be a good and faithful servant to Jesus. Gospel Wednesday: 1 Timothy Chapter 5: Widows

Image
1 Timothy Chapter 5 Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity.Honor widows who are really widows. But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God.Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. And these things command, that they may be blameless. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the a
