Sacred Truth Friday: Hopes and Dreams

Today's Devo  “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/psa.33.6.kjv “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/psa.37.4.kjv God delights in creating. And also delights in giving us godly hopes and desires. My hope is to be a Christian novelist. Already working on my first novel. Pray it is published in 2017. Delight yourself in the Lord. And give Him your hopes and dreams. And watch Him bring them to fruition.

Gospel Wednesday: Luke Chapter 9

Luke Chapter 9 “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead; And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired t

Sacred Truth Friday: Invited to Worship

Today's Devo So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Hebrews 13:6 KJV http://bible.com/1/heb.13.6.KJV I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Psalms 9:2 KJV http://bible.com/1/psa.9.2.KJV The Lord is not only our helper but we also are invited to worship Him. This especially helps during hard times. When we're going through trials, God is still worthy of praise. We can worship Him which will get our mind off our troubles, onto Him, and lift our spirits. So let's worship with our whole hearts through the good times and the bad.

Gospel Wednesday: Luke Chapter 8

Luke Chapter 8 “And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried,

Sacred Truth Friday: Only He Can Satisfy

Today's Devo  “Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭36:5, 7, 9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/psa.36.5,7,9.kjv Only God can satisfy and meet our deepest needs and desires. Some people pursue wealth, marriage, a job, possessions thinking these will satisfy and make them happy. But these things will not fulfill and bring everlasting joy. Only God can do that. So seek Him as your all in all acknowledging your need for Him.

Gospel Wednesday: Luke Chapter 7

Luke Chapter 7 “Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, an
