Jaci Velasquez - Crystal Clear Lyrics | MetroLyrics When I'm a sparrow in a winter You are a seed I find When I'm a heart with the splinter Your hot blood keeps me alive If I could call you a color You'd be the deepest of blues If I have my pleasure of anything You'd be the one that I'd choose Now it's crystal clear I'm falling for you Now that I can see the mystery's revealed Now I'm comin' clean I can feel my fears released Now it's crystal clear I'm falling for you I'm soft like clay Your hands they mold me For you, I would run away Just to hear you calling out my name Now it's crystal clear I'm falling for you Now that I can see the mystery's revealed Now I'm comin' clean I can feel my fears released Now it's crystal clear I'm falling for you I'm broken and empty Without you, I'm blinded I need you I need you near me, I need you near me Ohh ohh I'm falling Now it's c

Sacred Truth Friday: The Lord be Gracious to You

Read this passage earlier in the week. Want to use it to encourage you dear readers.  “The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.'” Numbers 6:24-26 NASB http://bible.com/100/num.6.24-26.nasb God is indeed gracious to us. After all, He gave us His only Son as an atoning sacrifice. That is the highest form of love and grace.  He blesses us and He keeps us.  He gives us every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3) and will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5).   His face shines upon us. And through Jesus, He gives us peace.  Oh dear readers, if you haven't discovered this joy, this peace, this deep relationship with God through obedience to the Gospel, then obey today. Don't miss out on the most important relationship you'll ever have: a relationship with God Almighty, our maker, redeemer, and friend.  For more deta

Gospel Wednesday: John Chapter 5

Image
This week, we're in John chapter 5.  “After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame,  paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”  The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”  Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed

Sacred Truth Friday: God is Holy, Holy, Holy

“Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.” Psalms 119:142 NKJV http://bible.com/114/psa.119.142.nkjv “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has to

Gospel Wednesday: John Chapter 4

Image
This week we're in John chapter 4. “Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. But He needed to go through Samaria. So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?”  For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given

Baptism

Great article on baptism. By Samuel A. Matthews BIBLE BAPTISM - 1 The churches of Christ Greet You (Romans 16:16) The subject of baptism has long been one of controversy, especially in respect to its purpose and its action. We suppose that uninspired men have written at least hundreds of books and millions of words about baptism. Many of these things we could read to our profit, but those works will NOT be the subject of this study. Rather, our passion (our Want to) is to study the only book (with the only words) on this subject that really matters — the word of God – the Bible. We will NOT quote from the Bible encyclopedias or dictionaries, the commentaries, the Greek Lexicons, or other books of that kind. This study will involve what the Bible teaches concerning baptism, rather than what men have taught and teach. Our plan (our Objective) is to examine what the Bible teaches about baptism. We will patiently persevere (our Resolve) and let the reader be the judge of the
