Sacred Truth Friday: Being All In for Jesus

“Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.””
Mark 12:41-44 NKJV

Many rich people gave out of their abundance. But this poor widow gave all she had to live on according to these verses. She was dedicated to and all in for God, making a great sacrifice in giving all she had to live on.

According to these verses, Mark 12:43-44, we should be all in for Jesus. Giving what we can with what we have: our time, resources and talents. We should be generous with others and give, not be selfish (1 John 3:17).

Dear Jesus My Beloved Savior

Make me more devoted to You. All in for You. For You gave Your life for me that I might taste freedom from sin and death. Make me bold for You. Make us all bold and be all in for You and Your Kingdom. Make us be all in for the Gospel, never compromising.

Amen

May be all in for Jesus at all times. Giving Him our time, resources and talents. Never compromising; totally devoted to Him.
