Homosexuality; Supreme Court Ruling

In light of the Supreme Court's ruling I got to take a stand and abide by the word of God. The Supreme Court ruled gay marriage legal in all 50 states. America has strayed far from God and Biblical principles. America has turned its back on God. It's time to turn back and repent. 

No matter what the Supreme Court's ruling, God's Word still stands. Homosexuality is still a sin, no matter the laws of the land. 

So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:21-24 ESV)

God made marriage to be between a man and a woman. Not man and a man. Or woman and a woman. It's Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. 

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22 ESV)
“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. (Leviticus 18:22 NIV)

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13 ESV)

“ ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. (Leviticus 20:13 NIV)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. (Romans 1:18, 26-27 ESV)

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV)

So as you see, God's Word condemns homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sin according to the Word of God. Some reading this blog post may be offended. But you know what? I'm obeying God rather than men (Acts 5:29). Amen! 

Hey News Flash Supreme Court. I'm choosing to obey God rather than men and I will not back off, shut up, or go along with this ruling. Homosexuality is still a sin no matter your ruling, Supreme Court. Your ruling concerning gay marriage goes completely against the Word of God. So I choose the Word of God over this ruling. I'm standing by the Word of God and standing up for Jesus! 

That's my stance on homosexuality. And I'm not changing it just to be "politically correct." But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29 ESV)

We as Christians must stand for truth and not be shaking in our boots over the Supreme Court's ruling and cave into the law of the land.  Let's stand up for God and His Holy Laws!
