God Above Is Always With You 


When your days are filled with laughter
You enjoy good times everyday
You feel you’ll be happy ever after
And enjoy life’s pleasurable ways
Rejoice in this, God above is always with you


When your days are filled with crying
The dreary night is long
The hard times, to your soul, are trying
And everything goes wrong
Peace, be still, God above is always with you


When your children are making good choices
Your mommy heart is proud
Your spirit rejoices
You cheer for them bright and loud
Rejoice in this, God above is always with you


When your children are straying, filling you with fear
Your Mommy heart breaks over the trouble they’re in
You pray every night for them with tears
Your spirit in sorrow over their sin
Peace, be still, God above is always with you


When your health is good
You’re filled with vibrant life
Your body working as it should
You’ve never known a surgeons’ knife
Rejoice in this, God above is always with you


When you receive that devastating diagnosis
You’re now filled with worry
You just want someone to hold you close
Your short life now passing by in a hurry
Peace, be still, God above is always with you


When you enjoy your loved ones
Times with them oh, so sweet
Basking in life’s good sun
Joy and laughter every day meet
Rejoice in this, God above is always with you


When your loved one is taken too soon
Over their grave you weep
Your spirit, under intense grief, swoons
Wishing your loved one you could forever keep
Peace, be still, God above is always with you


When you have a faithful spouse
He stays true to you
Yours is a cheerful house
He never breaks your heart, making you blue
Rejoice in this, God above is always with you


When your spouse forsakes marriage vows
Your heart is aching
Forgiving spirit you can’t seem to rouse
You're in sorrow over the covenant he’s breaking
Peace, be still, God above is always with you


No matter what life’s throws your way
Through good times and bad
He, on His throne, will never stray
So whether you’re happy or sad
Rejoice in this, peace, be still, God above is always with you.
