Morning Sermon
The Gospel

Bad News

A. We have all sinned

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans6:23&version=NKJV
A. All sin leads to spiritual death
    1. Hell
    2  Eternal separation from God

A. Lake of fire 
    1. No escape
    2. Eternal

Solution

A. Jesus, who died, was buried, and arose the third day. 

The solution to the sin problem is Jesus. Not stricter gun laws. The problem is people's hearts, not the guns themselves. Jesus, the only solution. Obey His glorious Gospel today. 





Afternoon Sermon
New Earth Doctrine


Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. - 2 Peter 3:13 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Peter3:13&version=NKJV
A. No new Earth
    1. Passage must be read in its context
    2. This world will be destroyed (2 Peter 3:10)

Jehovah's Witnesses twist Scripture. Believe only 144,000 will be save , citing Revelation  14:1-4. And a new Earth citing 2 Peter 3:13. Reject their man made false doctrines.
Some denominations hold to millennialism a false doctrine that says Christ will reign for a 1,000 years upon this Earth citing Revelation 20:1-6 for their beliefs. Which is a twisting of Scripture. Revelation is symbolic and not to be taken literally.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. A. Jesus will return
B. Righteous will meet Him in the air


There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him. - 1 Peter 3:21-22 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Peter3:21-22&version=NKJV
A. Christ is in heaven

to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, - 1 Peter 1:4 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Peter1:4&version=NKJV
A. Our inheritance is in heaven, not upon a new Earth.

The Bible refutes the doctrine of a new earth. Reject this doctrine for the lie that it is.
