What Does The Scripture Say: Mormon Doctrine Examined

Mormine Doctrine Examined

The Book of Mormon is not a companion of the New Testament.

The Bible is complete (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3). We need no other revelation from God.

Mormonism started between 1820 and 1830 by a man named Joseph Smith who claimed he received golden plates from the hand of an angel named Moroni. On these plates "another Testament of Jesus Christ" for the Native Americans to bring them to a knowledge of Jesus.
Why not use just the Bible and Bible alone to bring them to a knowledge of Jesus? Compel them to obey the Gospel.

Joseph Smith was a false prophet and can't be trusted. He was also a mystical treasure hunter and disorderly.
In the case of Joseph Smith v. the State of New York he was found guilty of being disorderly and was am imposter claiming to find buried treasure by looking into stones.
He also made up a story about the moon. Claiming it was populated by people six feet tall who dressed like Quakers and lived to be a thousand years old.
Can we really trust Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon? No.

when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord , if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

Deuteronomy 18:22 NKJV

Joseph Smith was a false prophet for none of his prophesies came true.
David Whitmer was a follower of Joseph Smith and in his journal we see Joseph making another false prophecy.
Smith said God told him to send David Whitmer and Oliver Cowdery to Toronto, Canada to sell the copyright to the Book of Mormon.
These two men went to Toronto and were unable to sell the copyright.
They returned and confronted Joseph Smith.
Asking why the revelation didn't come true.
To which Joseph Smith replied: "Some revelations are of God; some revelations are of men; and some revelations are of the devil."
When a prophecy does not come true it is of the devil (Deuteronomy 18:22).

Smith claimed the Lord would return in 1835. Never happened.
Claimed the same for 1843. Never happened.
Claimed it again for 1891. Never happened.
This all proves that Joseph Smith was a false prophet and can't be trusted.

In the 1830 title page of the Book of Mormon we find the following: "If there be fault, they be the fault of men."
Don't put your faith and eternal destiny in a book that claims it has error from men.
The Bible is the perfect will of God (John 17:17). Put your faith and eternal destiny in that.
The title page also says at the bottom "Joseph Smith author and proprietor."
So the Book of Mormon is not another revelation from Jesus Christ.
It's a fabrication.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

II Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 NKJV

All Scripture is complete.

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:6‭-‬9 NKJV

And there can't be any other gospel.

And look at what Alma 24:16 says in the Book of Mormon: "Burying swords in the earth will keep them bright and unrusted."

Book of Mormon goes against science. If you bury metal it will rust.

And the Book of Mormon promotes racism saying that if the Indians accepted the Gospel they would become "a white and delightsome people" in 2 Nephi 30:5-7 and 3 Nephi 2:15.

Since 1830 3,913 changes have been made to the Book of Mormon.

But God's Word is perfect and needs no changing.

There is a lot wrong with the Book of Mormon. Click the link below and watch the video. Reject Mormonism and obey the Gospel today.
