Sacred Truth Friday: Bear Fruit for God

Today's Devo

For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 6:7‭-‬8 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/heb.6.7-8.NKJV

We are to bear fruit for God, not briers and thorns. If we don't bear fruit we'll be cursed and lose our salvation.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Philippians 2:12 NKJV

This verse even says we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:13‭-‬14 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/ecc.12.13-14.NKJV

We are to fear God and keep His commandments. This is our all. He will bring every work into judgment, whether good or bad.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

II Corinthians 5:10 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/2co.5.10.NKJV

We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

II Corinthians 13:5 NKJV

So let's examine ourselves daily and bear fruit for God.

If you have not obeyed the gospel then please obey before it's everlasting too late.

The Gospel in a nutshell

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
