Sacred Truth Friday: Don't Be Troubled; Acceptable Religion

Morning Sermon
Don't Be Troubled

“Let  not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.In My Father’s house are many  mansions; if it were not so,  I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you,  I will come again and receive you to Myself; that  where I am, there you may be also. - John 14:1-3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John14:1-3&version=NKJV
Don't be troubled. Heaven prepared for me. Believe in God. Believe also in Jesus. Lay up heavenly treasures, not earthly (Matthew 6:19-21). Set mind on heavenly things (Colossians 3:1-2). Set hope in eternal life (Titus 1:2).
I have an incorruptible inheritance (1 Peter 1:4). Even after death, still have heaven (1 Corinthians 5:1).

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. - Revelation 1:7 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation1:7&version=NKJV
When He returns, all will see Him. The unfaithful and unsaved will mourn. The faithful will rejoice as they meet in Him in the sky and are reunited with loved ones (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Afternoon Sermon
Acceptable Religion

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. - James 1:26-27 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James1:26-27&version=NKJV
Unbridled tongue religion unacceptable before God. Helping others and being unspotted from the world religion acceptable to God. Worship is vain when based on doctrines of men (Matthew 15:15). Religious practices must be authorized by Jesus, by the New Testament (Colossians 3:17). God sees all. So practice pure, undefiled religion before Him. Have a genuine interest in the physical and spiritual well being of others.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God. - 1 Timothy 5:4 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Timothy5:4&version=NKJV
Support my Mom. Religion vain if I don't live it out daily.

Two good sermons from Stephen Wiggins.
