The Community Church has the following flawed views:
1. Bible Authority
Willow Creek Community Church website says the following: "The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters which it bears"
Sounds good right? Inspired, without error final authority on all matters which it bears. What a minute. On all matters which it bears? It should say the final authority on all matters period.

We are to teach and admonish each other through singing.
Yet community churches have rock concerts to attract more people: ten piece band, smoke, fireworks, psychedelic lights.
This showiness is not authorized by the Bible.
3. New Testament Church Organization
And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

But the community churches organizations are this: Senior pastor, executive pastor, pastor of administration. No Bible authority for this.
4. Baptism
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Could it be any planier? Yet community churches claim baptism does not save which is totally false.
Yes Jesus' blood saves us but we come into contact with that blood through baptism.
5. Giving God our best
Casual dress. A pastor that wears Hawaiian shirts and no socks.
But we are to dress in modesty and appropriate apparel (1 Timothy 2:11-13)
God expects our best. We are to give Him our best as we seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33).
6. Lord's Supper
The Community Church says there is no set standard for the Lord's Supper.
Yes there is:
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

We are to do this in remembrance of Jesus.

7. Preaching the Gospel

Community churches do not preach on the seriousness of sin which is sorely needed in our world.
