Poet's Corner Thursday: From Saul to Paul
From Saul to Paul
They laid their clothes at the feet of a
Young man named Saul
Who later became the apostle Paul
Preaching the Gospel to all.
Stuck in a sinful abode
Then he was blinded on the Damascus road
Of him, Jesus took hold
Without sight, food, water
For three days he prayed
In the city of Damascus he stayed
Until someone should show him the way
Ananias to him came
Saul would never be the same
He would have a brand new name
"Saul, why do you wait?
It may then be too late.
Don't let hell be your fate.
Arise! Be baptized!
Have salvation realized
And reach for the Heavenly prize."
Saul washed his sins away
Salvation he did not delay
Jesus he would never betray
He defended the way
From the Lord he didn't stray
He was faithful from day to day
From Saul to Paul
He exhorted others to obey the gospel call
He gave Jesus his all
They laid their clothes at the feet of a
Young man named Saul

Preaching the Gospel to all.
