Yummy Recipe Monday: Chicken Broccoli Divan

Chicken Broccoli Divan













Ingredients 

1 lb of fresh broccoli, cut into spears, or 1 package (10 oz) frozen broccoli spears, cooked and drained

1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken or turkey 

1 can (10 3/4 oz) Campbell's condensed cream of broccoli or cream of chicken soup 

1/3 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 

2 tbs fine dry bread crumbs 

1 tbs margarine or butter, melted

Directions 

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. In a 10 by 6 inch baking dish, arrange broccoli; top with chicken. In small bowl, combine soup and milk; pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. In cup, combine bread crumbs and margarine; sprinkle over cheese. 
  3. Bake 15 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Makes 4 servings. 

To microwave:
Do not cook broccoli.  In a 10 by 6 inch microwave safe baking dish, arrange broccoli. Cover with vented plastic wrap; microwave on HIGH 6 minutes, rearranging broccoli halfway through cooking time. Drain. Top with chicken. In small bowl, combine soup and milk; pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. In cup, combine bread crumbs and margarine; sprinkle over cheese. Cover with waxed paper; microwave on HIGH 6 minutes or until heated through, rotating dish halfway through cooking.
