In Depth Bible Study: Qualities of Love

Image
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; - 1 Corinthians 13:5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians13:5&version=NKJV Love thinks no evil. Is not resentful. Before resentment takes a foothold in our lives, let's bring all our thoughts captive to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). We must be ever mindful of the things of Christ, not the things of the world (Matthew 16:22-23). And resentment is worldly, not Christlike at all. We must guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) against this deadly spiritual poison or it'll ruin our lives spiritually and cause us to miss out on heaven. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1John1:9&version=NKJV Think of all the times God has forgiven us, and that should kill resentment for sure.

1 Peter Chapter 2 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. - 1 Peter 2:1-3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Peter2:1-3&version=NKJV We must lay aside malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and evil speaking. And desire His Word with a sincere heart.  Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has beco...

Sacred Truth Friday: Death; Divorce

Morning Sermon  Death  So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. - 1 Corinthians 15:42-44,50 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians15:42-44,50&version=NKJV We will be raised incorruptible, glorious, in power. Flesh and blood cannot inherit His kingdom, but the spiritual sure can. We are all appointed to die (Hebrews 9:27). We live up to 70 years. At the most, 80 (Psalm 90:10) If we die with our sins unforgiven, we'll condemn ourselves to hell (John 8:24).  But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you ...
