Division Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. - Luke 12:51 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke12:51&version=NKJV For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. - Ephesians 2:14-17 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians2:14-17&version=NKJV Jesus is peace. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, - Romans 5:1 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans5:1&version=NKJV There is peace through Jesus. But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience;the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded,in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. For the

Love And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. - 1 Corinthians 13:13 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians13:13&version=NKJV Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. - 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians13:1-3&version=NKJV Our service to God is worthless without love. 1. Titus Chapter 1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness,in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior; To Titus, a true son in our common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-contro

This past Sunday Hershel Bearden, a missionary who does work in India, visited our congregation during the afternoon service and delivered a wonderful sermon: Do You Love Me? 1 Jesus is betrayed by Judas and arrested. Peter denies Him 3 times. Jesus is questioned by the high priest, and Barabbas is released (John chapter 18). The soldiers mock Jesus, Pilate delivers Him to be crucified, and He is nailed to a cross. He dies, and is buried in a rich man's tomb (chapter 19). He rises again and His disciples are witnesses to His resurrection (chapter 20). Simon Peter, with 6 other disciples, goes fishing. They catch nothing, though they fish all night. The next morning they see a man on shore who tells them to cast their net on the right side of the boat. They do so and catch 153 fish. John recognizes the man as Jesus. Jesus has breakfast prepared for them: fish and bread. 2 What Kind of Love? John 21:15-17 John 21:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV) Jesus Restores Peter

2 Timothy 4 New King James Version (NKJV) Preach the Word 4 I charge you [a]therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead [b]at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Paul’s Valedictory 6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will

2 Timothy 3 New King James Version (NKJV) Perilous Times and Perilous Men 3 But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, [b]unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. Don't believe in music speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, - Ephesians 5:19 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians5:19&version=NKJV Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. - Colossians 3:16 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians3:16&version=NKJV We sing with the heart. A cappella singing. No musical instruments commanded. 2. Don't believe in the Old Testament For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both
